Description:

Alexander Shipping Company (Houlder Brothers)' s 1960 Burntisland built WESTBURY inbound for London's Royal Docks exactly fifty years ago today, on 26th November 1972 on arrival from Hamburg to complete loading cargo for Amapala (Honduras) via Corinto (Nicaragua).

In 1978 she was purchased by Canopus Shipping (Andreas & George Kyrtartas) of Piraeus and renamed DIAMANDO, as which she was soon time chartered to Portugal to trade to East Africa; in 1981 she was given the Portuguese name of POLANA.

She was scrapped at Gadani Beach in 1983, beached on 24.5.83.
