Description:
Preceding the Evergreen G-Class were six unit of the L-Class, (four from Onomichi and two from China Shipbuilding) which had about the same dimensions as the original G class ships, but were not subject to lengthening after the introduction of the Round the World Service. All were used later in their lives by subsidiary Lloyd Triestino, with their prefix Ever being replaced by LT.
Shown is the Ever Laurel, (Onomichi 292) which traded as Ever Large until 1983, obviously not a fitting name because of the arrival of the G Class.
