Description:

Delta S.S. Lines SANTA ROSA is here seen arriving Philadelphia in april 1984.
She was delivered in january 1962 from Todd Shipyards, San Pedro, as WASHINGTON MAIL for American Mail Lines Inc. She was one of 3 similar cargovessels of C4-S type built by this yard for American Mail Lines.
In 1971 she was lenghtened with 32 meters, and rebuilt to container vessel.
Further history:
1975: PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT - American President Lines Inc.
1983: SANTA ROSA - Delta Steamship Lines Inc.
1985: AMERICAN BUILDER - United States Lines Inc.
1987: Transferred to US Reserve Fleet
1989: Transferrde to US Navy and renamed EQUALITY STATE. Rebuilt to crane-vessel with 6 twin-cranes, each crane with a capacity of 30 tons.
20.06.2019: Arrived at Brownsville, Tx. for demolition.
