Shes a beauty. like a Loewy designed train or greyhound coach. its a real shame to see such a unique vessel end up like this

Interesting photo, I did look around on this website for more photos of the Kalakala, which I have seen at Tacoma 3 years ago. I see, your photos are much older and are showing the ship in a still better condition. I have no idea what will happen with the ship in the future, all attempts to save it, have gone to nowhere.
However, a friend made a website as a tribute to the ship at www.kalakalamania.com - just in case you might be interested.

Thanks for the comment, COKL.
She is behind the scene from the city side of the Lake Union in Seattle.
But you can get closer to her on the cruise boat which goes around the lake.
I also cared for KALAKALA for long.
Then, I tried to go to visit her.
But it was very complex way to reach KALAKALA by the public bus.
I changed the buses several times on the way from the city.
As you mentioned, I wish she would be completely revived in near future.

Hello, the Kalakala is meanwhile located at Tacoma in a place called Hylebos Waterway. With permission of the owner I had a chance to visit. I think it is still afloat but did not hear more of renovation.
