Description:

It is a typically busy Sunday afternoon at Port Colborne, Ontario, the entrance to the Welland Canal from Lake Erie, on July 15, 2007. The Canada Steamship Lines bulker Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin eases past the barge Pere Marquette 42, unloading sand, and behind Mr. Martin is the Coast Guard/Royal Canadian Mounted (on a boat) Police boat Cape Hurd. The Martin's immediate destination is the first lock for downbound vessels, Lock 8, which has an upbound tug/barge combo in it and another laker waiting its turn. Photo by the often not right and less than honorable Magogman.
