Memories - I sailed on the Pretoria Castle from England to Durban in 1953, then Cape Town to Durban on the Oranje, then England to Duban (with a very new wife!) in 1974. So the photos bring back many menories - Thank you.

Great great photo of a classic liner. Hope you have many more of these beautiful old liners from a long gone era. We are not seeing enough of these once proud ships from Cunard, Union-Castle,P&O & SSA etc on Shipspotting.Many thanks for posting.

Its nice to have these shots in the archive - which is now open with the arrival of the scanner - but the penalty is I pick up my pension next year !!!!!
