Great to see this one Ken, brings back memories of her in the Millwall Docks all those years ago. Not many of these old girls will survive the upcoming SOLAS regulations so its good that she has survived the breakers for now. Great shots.

John J.

Hello Ken,

thanks for posting these two beautiful photos. Who knows if we will ever see her again once she's gone to Venezuela... I doubt it.

Best regards from Hamburg,
Jens

Hi Jens,

Nice to hear from you and thanks for the comment, you are probably right, I very much doubt she will be this way again, still, better than the scrap yard I guess.

Kind regards
Ken

Of course, almost anything's better than the scrapyard!
But I wonder how long she'll be sailing for Saveca. Olsen didn't want to bring her up to SOLAS 2010 standards (because of her age. I suppose). And I haven't heard that Saveca will do so (which is a must as I understand it in order for her to sail beyond 2010).
Well, we'll see what happens to her come October, 1, 2010.

Best regards,
Jens

A great photo Ken and as already stated, a ship which we will likely never see again. I believe that once handed over to new owners, she will trade only in Venezuela and will be exempt from SOLAS 2010.

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,

Many thanks, I could have hoped for a brighter day for her last trip up the river, I guess there will be other exemptions for her as well !!.

Hope to see you soon.

Regards
Ken
