Yes, I was really quite shocked that the COSTA ALLEGRA went for scrap. It makes you wonder just how bad the damage in the engine room was exactly.

Amongst the other waste it seems that the ex COSTA ALLEGRA doesn't belong there!!!

Wait i see the former Algocape's stern and stack in the middle of the photo

Do you have any photos of the recent great freighter that arrived there for scrapping? Such as the GOC (former Algoecape) and DON (former Gordon C. Leitch)

Looks more like a vessel builded unknown at the start what it will be during her life

She was actually renamed SANTA CRUISE for her final voyage. To be honest, I thought she was much more elegant as a container ship than she ever was as a cruise ship. However, I do think she looked original and distinctive, and that is also important.

Here she is as the container ship ANNIE JOHNSON:

Also when she belonged to Regent she stayed useless for years..

That's a classic container ship, not a classic cruiser ;)

Sad to see her die

Sad to spot this quite classic & gracious cruiser after have had done her last 'cruise' in this year... and moreover sad to say, her last 'cruise' for ever.
A fire in Engine Room immobilized the ship in the Indian ocean out of Seychelles on 27th February 2012 during a cruise ... and now she is at Aliaga!
