Description:

East Germany's "XA" type EDGAR ANDRE was photographed at Avonmouth on 28th October 1972. The first of the "X" class, built at Warnemunde in 1962, she was in 1980 modified into a "heavy metal carrier" and traded as such until 27.7.91 when sold to breakers through intermediaries Incom Shiptrade of London, who shortened the ship's name to EDGAR for her delivery voyage to Gadani Beach where she arrived on 5.12.91.
