Description:

The Papalios owned Alpha Lines' AEGIS ETERNITY was photographed in the Nieuwe Waterweg by Koos Riedijk.

Built at Port Glasgow in 1957 for T&J Brocklebank as MAKRANA, on her purchase in 1971, Papalios initially named the ship AEGIS GLORY but quickly renamed her AEGIS ETERNITY as which she suffered stranding damage off Singapore on 23.4.74 on a voyage from Bandar Abbas during which she put back to Singapore on April 27/28 and again on May 3, finally sailing on May 18th, arriving at Shanghai for breaking during June 1974.

You can take the ship away from Brocklebank but you can't take Brocklebank away from the ship - no matter how bad a state you let it get into!
Immediately recognisable as an ex-Brock.
