Description:

DIONE, photographed passing Portishead, outward bound from Avonmouth, in July 1964, had been built by Blythswood at Glasgow in 1957 as MERCHANT ROYAL for the London Greek Lykiardopulo's Drake Shipping and was given the name DIONE in 1963 on transfer to the Greek flag.

Sold in 1975, she traded until 1978 as VITACALM until purchased by Abbas Gokal's Gulf Shipping Group, then trading as EASTERN LEGEND until broken up at Alang in March 1983.
