Hello Puna, this photo was taken in 1965 by a friend of mine, Bill Johnson, who was then an O/S on the "Moana Roa". He took this photo from the ships lifeboat as well as some of the USSC's "Waihemo" which was also anchored near by. The quality of the Waihemo shots are not to hot but will try to upload the best one which may be of interest to you. Regards Tony

Nice photo Tony. This is a real gem. 1. Would like to know what year this was taken. 2. From what ship was the photo taken from (or was it one of the tow launches) Travelled to NZ on the Moana Roa in 1966 and was seasick for all those 5 days. Kind Regards. Puna.
