After the tow-wire connecting "Charlene Hunt" to the "Lyubov Orlova" parted, Transport Canada Marine Safety ordered "Charlene Hunt" to return to St. Johns, where it was detained for multiple deficiencies. It remained under detention for several weeks, until it was towed away to the U.S.A. Meanwhile, Transport Canada Marine Safety chartered an AHTS to tow "Lyubov Orlova" away from the offshore oil platforms. When that tow-wire also parted, the "Lyubov Orlova" drifted away into the fog, and is believed to have sunk several days later when its EPIRB sent out an alarm.

2013-01-25 CBC reported that the tow-wire had parted, and that the "Lyubov Orlova" was adrift in a heavy swell.

When did she change flags to Bolivia? The photo from the 18th still shows a US flag flying.
