@ Vlad: nice one indeed!
@ Foldager: correct, all from the Kyokuyo yard.

Certainly unconventional :)
The other day I saw "city of St. Petersburg" in Esbjerg (DK), and I have seen it in Grimsby several times. I am always amazed when I see it, - wondering if it is a relic from the past or Star Wars.
And i guess Natori and City of St. Petersburg (and sisters) all are from the same yard.

Thanks for the link, Ralph, fascinating stuff - the thirties were really a futuristic heaven, at least in concept... :)

It reminds me of the War Rocket Ajax from one of the best bad movies ever, "Flash Gordon"...

The look might be unconventional, but I love it! Reminds of the old streamlined ocean liner concepts by Norman Bel Geddes of the 1930s: http://grafischewerken.blogspot.nl/2011/04/resorts-at-sea-april.html

Thanks for your comments.
She's a frequent guest in Kanmon Strait (but, so am I...) :)

Cheers
