Seen passing Portishead exactly fifty years ago today, on 26th July 1966, was Port Line's 1951 Hebburn built PORT ADELAIDE. She was inbound for Avonmouth at the end of a voyage from Brisbane, sailing Melbourne on 25th May, via Liverpool, Dunkirk, London, Hamburg and possibly also Cardiff which was her last scheduled port of discharge.

PORT ADELAIDE finally arrived at Kaohsiung on 19th August 1972.
