ARGIRO, Bibby Line's SHROPSHIRE from delivery in 1959 until 1972, was photographed inbound for Rotterdam on 24th May 1975 from Antwerp to complete loading cargo for Jeddah.

Owned by L.P.Halcoussis & J.A.Caloghiros (who later also operated ANNITA (ex EXMOOR ex MELBROOK) and CHRISTINA (ex PROPHET ELIAS), she was laid up at Eleusis on 26 October 1981, sailing at the end of 1984 as NAFTILOS for a single voyage from Alexandria for Chittagong where she arrived in January and was beached on 21st April 1985 to be broken up.
