Description:

GLENGYLE came from the Caledon shipyard in Dundee in 1940 and I took this in the London docks in 1966.
In 1970 she moved over to Blue Funnel and was renamed DEUCALION and went for scrap in 1971 at Kaohsiung.

Paul - Good photograph of a proper ship and those Glen boats and Blues were certainly that. That's in the KG5 right at the top opposite the Drr Dock - Glen had two designated berths there for their service, can't for the life ofme remember the numbers but they'd be "odds" as the other side of the dock were the "evens" , so could be 11 and 13 :-D

Yes indeed. I used to enjoy seeing them in London and elsewhere but that's the only decent photo I ever got. I suppose I should be grateful in a way because it was because of other ships from other British companies getting in the way! :lol:
