SS Robin the worlds last remaning steam coaster being lifted by 2 600 t cranes onto her new permanent home the barge will then be towed to London to create a museum and learning centre for young people. The Robin was built at Thames ironworks and shipbuiolding works of Bow Creek in 1890 she is 143 feet long with a beam of 23 feet, the engine is a triple expansion reciprocating developing 60 horse power with a max speed of 10 knots
