Hi nmj, yes she was operated by Greek owners as a bunkering vessel in that area until she was sold for demolition. Unusual to have been built as a black oil tanker from new, when so small, comparitively.

She was employed as a bunker tanker in the Gulf of Guinea when I last encountered her in 2006.

Hi Cornelia, I was just reading that she has been scrapped so added a couple more old shots.... as there will be no more new ones!! Built for Neste, of course.
This class were named after 'Birds'. Sotka=duck/ente.
I think they appeared very futuristic, when new.
