Description:

Built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson, Wallsend in 1914.
05/05/1918: Torpedoed by U-Boat UB48, 28 miles off Cape Camaret, Gulf of Lyons.
The U-Boat, which had no torpedoes left, fired 32 shells into CLAN ROSS, as well as 2 at the armed trawler ACHENAR, which was standing by the stricken ship. Towed into Toulon next day by the tug MILON. Nine men killed in the action.
04/04/1942: Torpedoed & sunk by Japanese submarine I-6, 350miles SW of Bombay, Liverpool to Cochin with 11 lives lost.
