Rick, Cornelia meant that it's very often shots of some boring & unremarkable vessels get high views without any comments.

May I politely remind you all that it is Shipspotting members who view the images and create the number of views.
Nobody else.
Ted has summed it up very well with HIS comment:-
"A while back when I was in Honduras I played it through with a friend, ping-pong back and fore comments, and a good but otherwise **simple** vessel got 1100 plus klicks in 24 hrs"
It is a free choice of all, to search, view & comment on which photos you want to.
Adding comments certainly can bring a "simple" photo to everyone's attention.

Cornelia, I don't cheat. I even should't know how to do that.

Nothing against a good picture,,but sometimes I wondering too how some pictures are that high while good interesting pictures are barely make it to 100 hits in a month.
Ok, everyone tends to klick on the opening page on the those pictures, but I wonder really somtimes , a big-box ship, by now x 1000 times seen here,,nothing new beside the name and klicks like heck, then some interesting designd bulker or supplier and you hardly see klicks.
Please note that I do not single anyone out here. A while back when I was in Honduras I played it through with a friend, ping-pong back and fore comments, and a good but otherwise simple vessel got 1100 plus klicks in 24 hrs.
Place random on opening page is not a bad idea. And those who connect their pictures with outside websites and the klicks count here too really should think about what they doing.

The thing has not really anything to do with jealousy and such, but about fairness in a community.

It would be fair, to have photos here, which deserve to be here. Newbuilds, special ships in special situation, photos which are discusses.
Ria Maat, is indeed pushing her photos up, by some unknown method, every day. Photos that are uploaded, and within short period, over 100 views. No comments made either.

Then, interesting photos like this http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1542390 do not have a chance to even come so far. I don't care by whom photos on top three are, but please not by anyone, photos that are artificially pushed in a way !! Keep the newbulds, casualities, strange ships, oldies, and other specialities coming, but please not like this. It starts to get boring and is simply unfair against all other members here !!

I think the Webmaster should replace the Most Viewed on the main page with Random Ship Photos like it was in the past. Less jealousy & envy on a site :D

What the hell is the fuzz about beeing on top three all the time anyway

C'mon, Cornelia! It's a neat looking ship carrying blades.... :D

Other than improved visibility from the bridge & reduced noise, I don't know what else they achieved by this design.

One more boring photo by Ria Maat on the Top Three, without a reason, without many comments. Cheating at it's best :P
