This ship was based at Sullom Voe in as floating hotel accommodation, along with the Stena Baltica, they were moored offshore with a floating pontoon between them, Stena's stern to Rangatira's bow. I spent 3 months on Stena late 79 to early 80 & all staff of both ships had Christmas on the Rangy. All the shore punters had gone home, we were left on our own with a few catering staff who did us proud. Busy times & boy was it cold, the only time I've ever seen ice forming on sea water around the UK. Cheers
