Description:

Owned by the Canadian Government, this Icebreaker was built in 1978 by Versatile Pacific Shipyard. All markings on board, especially referring to the ship identification, are in French and English. With its powerful diesel-electric propulsion system, this icebreaker is an essential tool for the Canadian icebreaking program. This vessel can carry sufficent provisions for 140 days at sea. In addition to sophisticated navigation and communication equipment, the ship has a landing deck for helicopter.
