Visit www.leithshipyards.com to find out all about HMS HERALD another fine ship built at the Leith Shipyards of Robb (part of British Shipbuilders at the time) you will even see photographs of her build taken by one of the original Navy crew working at the shipyard.

According to my records from 2nd April 1990, she was the HERALD. At the time I was on the mailing list for visiting naval vessels sent out from HMS President which probably would confirm that.

Bob

If it helps, it's NOT Herald. Always tell Herald from the crane, which was different from the other three H Boats.

Thanks John, still trying to find my old note book from 20+ years ago to identify her :-)

Thanks Ian, quite possible because I have seen Hecate in London a couple of times, I'm hoping to find my old notebook to confirm.

This could be HMS Hecate Bob, She was put up for disposal in 1991, and sailed to India to be broken up in 1994.

Ian
