Five months since my last comment on this photo, but I've some additional info and corrections regarding her sisters:

Huelva (IMO 6727894), 1967 - in 1981 converted to livestock carrier in Denmark - broken up as Adele...
Algarve (IMO 6729816), 1970 - in 1980 converted to livestock carrier in Denmark - broken up as ALONDRA...

Cheers
Jens

Nice record from what would have been a wonderful Polynesian holiday. I am sure hotel Internet charges would strain the budget and keep you off the site. The guide book Lonely Planet is usually reliable but it seems it should do some checking with the taxi drivers. The current description is however interesting history :

Vaeanu (41 25 35) operates the Pape'ete-Huahine-Ra'iatea-Taha'a-Bora Bora return trip, leaving Pape'ete on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm (the Wednesday trip does not stop at Taha'a). It sets out from Bora Bora on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Huahine and Ra'iatea arrivals are in the middle of the night (most guesthouse owners will not pick you up). Reservations are advisable. The office is at Motu Uta, near the Aranui office. Take le truck 3 from the mairie.

Ah, tha's too bad being laid up for years... Ok, she looks worn, but not too worn as yet. Alas, the taxi driver's info doesn't sound that good indeed!:-(

G'day Jens,

Thanks for the great info, however, I fear she is rather laid up awaiting her fate. The taxi driver (always a great source of local knowledge) said that she had been there a number of years without moving...........

Cheers,
tropic
