We also used to have to conserve film for the 'great' ship that was bound to come along next. I remember personally this was a major financial consideration back then being on a starter's salary. Thank goodness for the digital revolution where we need never miss a shot (unless our batteries run out!)

Your right there John, I often wonder why I didn't take photos of the smaller tugs etc. that were always passing Tilbury back in the day

Yes, definitely a bit of plagiarism on the Wewelsfleth design here Denis but suppose it was a look 'of it's time'. Bob, this was a classic case of one of those ships you saw all the time so hardly bothered taking a photo of, that's why we have so few of her!
