Description:

ALA ran aground the 26/11/2012 on the small island Hjelm in Kattegat / Denmark, she was subsequently escorted into Grenaa port for further investigation. Unfortunately, the damage was too great to repair, she is now taken over by Fornaes Shipbreaking Grenaa / Denmark for scrapping.

ALA arrived four times at Methil from Varberg since her Wisbech call (30/9-2/10, 14/10-15/10, 24/10-27/10 and 17/11-18/11), though I have not seen any photos later than yours, Darren.

Terrible shame to find out she is to be scrapped, I took some very nice shots of her arriving at wisbech in September so maybe the last ever photo of her in UK waters. Can recall fond memories of having a beer with the captain when she was the Gala and a regular to Wisbech.
