2013-02-03 "Atlantic Hawk" handed over the tow to "Maersk Challenger" which had been leased by Transport Canada. "Maersk Challenger" tow-wire parted. Bad weather prevented re-connection. "Lyubov Orlova" drifted outside Canadian territorial waters, and was last reported drifting E into the Atlantic.

2013-01-31 CBC reported that "Lyubov Orlova", having drifted close to an oil production platform, had been taken in tow by "Atlantic Hawk".
