There is high ground accessible by public road just behind Point Lynas where you can catch ACLs picking up/dropping off their own designated pilots - where also you can have good views of the anchorage. A long lens is required - 300mm min. Alternatively you can walk to Point Lynas lighthouse for closer shots.
Other ships of course take/drop off pilot here if the weather is bad at the Bar. If there is a strong northerly blowing then ships switch to Douglas IOM for the pilot.

Often thought of going to Lynas Point when I've been in North Wales, do you get many ships passing this close?
