Hi Bay on May, El Venizelos has three sisterships. They were all ordered by Stena Line in 1979 to be built at Gdansk and Gdynia in Poland. The founding of the Polish trade union "Solidarity" on August 31, 1980, at Gdansk shipyard and the following political unrest delayed the construction of the ships for several years. One of them was never completed, the Regent Sky. Her unfinished hull was finally scrapped at Aliaga, Turkey, in 2011(!).
Cheers, Jens

Yes! they started building the hull for stena...but afterwards the construction stopped...they say that the hull was bought by Fred Olsen who named it Bonanza..and finaly ANEK bought the ship and named it Kydon..and finaly El.Venizelos! The construction ended at 1992!
