@Jadran

I have fewer naked ladies in my photos, therefore I am not lupino...;)

As for getting back to Croatia, my wife does not let me yet...

Trip to Bari was just for holidays.

@ Sandygates..Sure Piuestick are great engines if you like water leaks, oil leaks engine room fires due to the fuel pumps being on the same level as the exhaust manifold..Any fuel leaks catch on fire immediately. In most engines the camshaft is located low down . the cams drive the fuel pumps and it is safer...Pielstick are dreadful.

"Pielstick are simply dreadful engines."
Bit of a sweeping statement, Ozzy: would you care to elaborate?

Hi Vladimir !
Are you maybe arriving, step by step, closer to your home !! ..... no more South Korea ?

: very nice & interesting photo, as usual, when being from you lappino !
Oh, I almost wrote luppino instead lappino,, that would be a mistake indeed.

This vessel must be very good, as Ventouris bought her from the scrap dealer! She had been sold for scrap by Balearia and was renamed WINNER 9. Then Ventouris stepped and swapped her with their ATHENS (ex-BRISBANE TRADER) which went for scrap instead.

Thanks for the info! 33 years of service is a good recommendation for the vessel/engine builders!

I was involved with ship when she was brand-new for British Rail/Sealink. There were big problems with vibrations from the Crossley-built V16 Pielstick 16PC2-5V-400 engines. Eventually sorted out after modifications and renewal of the engine mountings. Obviously the work was successful because she's still going 33 years later with the same engines.
