The story about him losing Pelorus in a poker game actually dates from 2009 as far as I can tell.

It has been reported that Mr.Abrahmovich of Chelsea F.C. fame has lost this yacht in a poker game.His latest addition, the ECTASEA is in the league of of the PELORUS.
