Description:

At Las Palmas on 24/12/2013.

The vessel was moved from her 'usual' detained position the day before, to make way for another vessel.
There is still no reported Judicial movement over her ultimate fate - which will surely be to the breakers, eventually..

Built in 1969 as an icebreaker by Wärtsilä, Helsinki, Finland (389), 4,998 g.t. as:-
'Njord' to 2000 &
'Polar Star' since.

Converted in 2000 to a passenger & cruise vessel.
Regards, Rick

Thanks for the interesting link Tuomas.
A sad end... well, she is not AT her end yet, but cannot be far away, surely.
Regards, Rick

HI rd, yes, but alas, underneath and inside (according to local reports) is a different matter... Not much hope of a reprieve.

Thanks for this update Rick. I had lately been wondering what she was up to. Would be sad to see her go for scrap, she still looks quite good from the outside!
