Hi Alastair. Thanks for the info. How come you`r so well informed? - Have You been crew ? - I was - from 61 til may 1963, signed off in Rotterdam. Worked in the engine ending as a fireman. Then went home and stayed on solid ground in Denmark ever since.

Greetings Flemming

Flemming, sorry no, I did all my sea time with BP Tankers in the '60s & '70s but we saw the Hoegh tankers about quite a lot at such nice places as the Persian Gulf, Suez Canal, Nigeria etc. I started as an Apprentice and went on to 3/0 & 2/0 before I "swallowed the anchor" in the '70s and came ashore for good. There are days when I still miss the feel of a ship beneath my feet but I was outside in the fresh air, not stuck in the engine room like you. Sounds like you had a pretty long trip on her, nice looking ship.
Best wishes,
Alastair
