Description:

This is the former tank landing craft LCT 7074, the last surviving landing craft that took part in the D-Day landings. After de-commissioning in 1948 she served as Haedquarters of the Master Mariners' Club in Liverpool, before being converted into a nightclub under the name Clubship Landfall. She subsequently joined the Historic Warships Collection in Birkenhead. When the collection was disbanded in 2006 she was laid up in Birkenhead docks where she sank in 2010. The photograph shows her being raised by the floating crane Lara 1 in preparation for being transported for restoraton and preservation at the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth.
