C3-S-A2 type, launched at San Francisco in 1942 for the U.S. navy as HAMLIN, delivered as H.M.S. STALKER. In 1947 became Nederland's RIOUW (seen at Avonmouth in early November 1964) then in 1967 Africa Lines Agency's LOBITO - BU Gandia 9.75

Riouw represents an example of turning plowshares into swords, and then back again into plowshares. Riouw was a U.S.-built C3 cargo ship that was completed as an escort aircraft carrier during WW-II. After the war ended she was converted back into a cargo ship. See below (yes, this really is the same ship!):
