Thankyou Gentlemen. This ship is, as sister ships in the past, discharging her cargo in the QE2 oil dock at Eastham. They are too big to enter the Ship Canal.

The sun was out as she passed New Brighton but not when near Eastham Ferry approaching the lock, closely astern of the tanker IERAX approaching the Canal bound for Stanlow. Seeing the two ships together brought back good memories of some busy tides at Eastham in the 1970s.

That's a bit of a catch for Eastham, going to Ellesmere presumably.
