Thanks all for your inputs.
Both 6524747 and 8624541 have been correct!
LR have confirmed that she was 6524747 from when the 7-digit numbers were introduced in 1969 until she was deleted from LR in the late-1970s as "non-seagoing" - by then she was running Kruiningen-Perkpolder.

Soon after she was sold to Malta she CITTADELLA was entered in LR and given (in error) a new IMO, 8624541. I have come across a handful of similar cases where old and new IDs did not get matched properly, especially where there was a gap in data.

We should use 8624541 for the ship, even if from the PRINS BERNHARD days, I think.

Sorted now I think - wrong CITTADELLA

The IMO number is clearly wrong then, as the pictured vessel has very few similarities with the "Texelstrom". Rather, Bjørn has put a useful link for the actual info.

As has been pointed out many times, admins have no control over the info in the ship details section.

And again ADMIN though i corrected the name the information is totally wrong as she WAS NEVER the TEXELSTROOM. This ferry was built in the Netherlands in 1949. Formerly known as the Prins Bernhard (1949-87). Sister ship to the Melitaland. Renamed Citta in 1995, sold for scrap in 1997 in Turkey.
