U.S. Border Patrol conducting operations on the border between the U.S. (Vermont) and Canada (Quebec) just offshore of my summer home. There is no truth to the rumor that they were planning an amphibious assault on my lakeside retreat. The Border Patrol is one of 5 agencies that have marine operations on the Vermont portion of Lake Memphremagog, a 26 mile long lake extending from Newport, Vermont north to Magog, Quebec.
