I know most NC DOT ferries do have IMO numbers now, I don't know how long that has been the case though

The Cross Sound Ferry (CSF) also changed her MMSI no. to 367742540. I thought the IMO was added by CSF when they purchased her and she went north? NCDOT just started adding MMSI numbers to their vessels recently, I do not think they have added IMO numbers, but I may be wrong. An IMO number for the Jennifer C does not show up? I deleted the IMO number on my picture until I know for sure. You may be more into this than I and know where to look.

She is now (8-31-2016) known as the JENNIFER C operating for the Cross Sound Ferry.
