Nice photo/angle of a huge ship with lots of capacity. Shipping business is cyclical. Having been involved on the transportation side of things for more than 40 years cannot really disagree with some of Capt. Ted's earlier observations. However, to satisfy the growing needs of an ever expanding world population one might be inclined to think "bigger is better"...?
Time will tell.....

Well Vlad,, I always said,, I hope I am wrong,,but when I hear that now,,laying up and at the same time considering building bigger ones,,then somehow one must start thinking what goes wrong there !!! Or is it really,, we make it or break it for hose big ones in the hope that the other breaks first !!??

Hi Roy,

As the time passes, I see myself siding with Capt. Ted more and more... :)

(And, I think that the shipbreakers are in for a very good year.)

Cheers

Vlad

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for the update.

Now there are rumors that CMA CGM is in talks with S.K. yards to order seven more 20.000 teu vessels, do they need them....?

Cheers,
Roy
