Description:

Self discharger slammed into gas tanker
During a berthing manoever in the Elbe Port Brunsbüttel the bulkcarrier "Yeoman Bridge" slammed into the starboard side of the berthed "Peary Spirit" in the evening of Mar 30, 2016, at 8.20 p.m. The hull of the tanker, which had come from Teesport, was breached on a length of 25-30 meters about nine meters above the water line. If it is only what we can see, doubt whether there is any structural damage as seems well above main deck level. But ability to anchor and/or moor looks compromised.

Seems as if she has completed discharge in Hamburg and is arriving repair yard. Which of our Hamburg friends is out on the water today?

PEARY SPIRIT heading slowly under own steam for Odense, apparently without escort.

This 'bump' - does it affect hull integrity or is it purely a cosmetic job?
