Description:

Trawler BUSANT and seiner FR159 SUNRISE at Lerwick,Shetland,in July 1989.Busant I have no info on but the 87 ton,76ft.SUNRISE was built at the Forbes yard at Sandhaven nr.Fraserburgh in 1974,owned by John Tait of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

I don`t know what that boat is but it is certainly not the Sunrise.

Hi Guys , the outside seiner ISN'T the Sunrise. She is a Campbeltown 80 class Steel shelterdecked vessel which is bright green hull with a white shelterdeck. That might be John's previous boat tho , the wooden one he sold when he had the Sunrise built. I'll ask John next time I see him just to confirm.

If the outside wooden seiner is John's old boat then here's the information I have about her.

Sunrise FR159
Built 1974 at the Forbes shipyard Sandhaven near Fraserburgh
Length 76ft , 87tons , 500hp engine
