Description:

Johnston Warren Lines(Furness Withy)'s 1939 Emden built OAKMORE (ex- EMPIRE KENT-47, built as LEVANTE of Atlas-Levante Linie AG) is seen passing Portishead on Friday 24th March 1967, inbound for Avonmouth, on her last commercial voyage. She arrived at Aviles on 13th April 1967 for breaking.

Until 1945 the ship was used by the German Government, initially as a troop carrier to East Prussia and latterly on the Norwegian coast.
