Argentinian Notices to Mariners for current month of June requests to insert in Arg chart number 50 the sign of "wreck" and name "Uruguay Reefer" in position Lat: 49 23.04 S and Longitude 049 06.50 W so, sad to say, she has sunk.
Regards.

Tradewinds is reporting today (8th May 2017) that the URUGUAY REEFER struck an "unidentified floating ice formation" near the Falklands on May 5th. She took on water and her crew has been evacuated. As of yet, it has not yet reported that she has sunk, so perhaps she is still afloat.
