Hi Brett and Clive,It seems that the Arctic cruising for the company is becoming very lucrative, will there be other conversions from the fleet to this kind of Soft Adventure/ Explorer venture?
regards
Emmanuel.L.(Malta)

Correct, that is what I initially said. Kind regards, Brett

Thanks Clive, then we are quite fortunate to see a livery for the freezing Arctic in our sunny environment. Thanks for the info.
best regards and thanks

Thanks all the same Brett, but our friend Clive seems to came up with the answer to our query.
Thanks all the same my friend.

I do not think that the rest of the Silverseas ships will be adopting this livery. This dark blue/black hull with the red stripe is the livery that they have applied to their Soft Adventure/Explorer ships - Silver Discoverer, Silver Explorer, Silver Galapagos and now Silver Cloud.

Hello Emmanuel, unfortunately my friend who is with the company here in cape Town and Monaco has no info on this :(

Hi Brett, seems that you have some contact with the company/owners ,so enquire if the new livery will be applied to all their vessels or is it just a one off just for the CLOUD?
Change can be either good or bad, according to ones' views on the subject. They say that "one man's food is another man's poison"
Thanks and regards Brett my friend.

Change can be good Emmanuel.L...sometimes ? We either get used to it or not but change stays with us. Hope you are well !Brett

I second your opinion Brett,at least the SILVER CLOUD has departed from the usual white colour of most cruise liners.A little more diversity even in colour is healthy in our life.

I have seen other pics from SilverSea and the new livery looks ok.

The new colour scheme for the SILVER CLOUD is much more elegant than the usual ice white colour and also bear in mind she has been converted to operate in the Arctic, amongst icebergs, white coloured environment ,so she has to be more conspicuous in these waters.
I like particularly the red stripe separating the white and black colours.
thanks and regards

Hi Jadran, I tend to go towards Clive comment,as to the word SILVER in her name , if we are to compare names with ship colours or configurations , we will be opening a never ending string of comments, with colours like PINK CORAL, IEVOLI IVORY etc.
thanks and regards

Yes, I agree. The dark hull colour is too high but I think that if it were one deck lower then it would have possibly looked too low.

Edit
comment

person
In my opinion >> too high 'black' paintwork on the ship's hull...

Moreover,, so much 'black' doesn't actually have anything to do (has no connection) with the "suggestive" word in the ship's name: SILVER

Cheers
Jadran
