The location is Vado Ligure, scrapyard Riccardi. The tug is almost for sure the Genua, the penultimate ship to be scrapped there. I have doubts about the date, I think the tug was scrapped before the end of 1989, the scrapyard ceased the activity and probably this happened at the end of the year 1989.

I believe it is Genua. It was owned by Rimorchiatori Riuniti and looked very similar with that hign bow and square pilothouse. See http://www.scmncamogli.org/oldsite/saovicente/nsaovice_nar.htm

The funnel marking is that of Rimorchiatori Riuniti, if that helps..

Might be GENUA of 1962 (IMO 5001827), which was sold for scrap 12/1989.

Or perhaps TURCHIA of 1959 (IMO 5370993) which seems to have disappeared around that time.
