Description:

The 1954 Nantes built ELECTRA, owned by Vassilios G.Pavlou of Piraeus, is seen an anchor off Apapa/Lagos on 4th January 1976. She had arrived from Drepanon early in October 1975 and sailed on about 5th May 1976 to Port Harcourt to discharge her cargo, then proceeding on 22nd May to Abidjan.

Built as LOUGA for Compagnie Maritime des Chargeurs Reunis of Le Havre, she was lengthened in 1961 and in 1970 transferred to Société Navale Chargeurs Delmas-Vieljeux (SNCDV) of Dunkirk.

Purchased by Pavlou in 1975 and registered under the very French company name of Nouvel Horizon Shipping Company Limited of Limassol, Cyprus, she finally loaded a cargo at Savona, sailing on 26 November 1979 for Dubai, from there proceeding via Colombo to Kaohsiung for breaking, arriving on 3rd March 1980.
