The GLADIATOR first entered Malta as the RESOLVE GLADIATOR then painted red in February 2016.

Built by McDermott Shipyard Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #203) as the Gladiator for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California.
She was the sixth Invader class tug constructed by McDermott Shipyards for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated.

I don't know if the GLADIATOR was built in America, US tugs usually have a larger accommodation. Has anyone know of her builders?
