Completed 1969 for States Lines as Wyoming, sold to U.S. Lines in 1981 and renamed American Monarch. Scrapped in 1991. The gray hull and the red, white and blue funnel indicate that this ship was being operated by U.S. Lines on charter to the military Sealift Command. This ship was one of a class of large, fast 7-hatch freighters that represented were the apex of break-bulk cargo ship development before the advent of the container revolution".
